Cancellation by the Student
1. Cancellation of a program must be made at least five business days prior to the first class of the program to receive a full refund of tuition less a $25 administration fee.
2. Students will be charged for two classes if cancellation is less than five business days before the first class of the program. The balance will be refunded minus the insurance fee.
3. No refunds will be given after the first class of the program has occurred.
4. Trail Riders MUST call the Danada Equestrian Center office at (630) 668-6012, NO LATER THAN 10:00 a.m. on the day of your prescheduled trail ride to cancel. (Please call sooner if you are aware of a change in plans.) If we do not receive a notification of cancellation by the above-mentioned time, the trail ride will be counted as a ride taken.
5. No refunds will be given for missed classes. If notification has been given prior to missing a class, a make-up class will be scheduled by the equestrian center staff for Horsemanship I and II. No make-ups will be available for missed Horsemanship III, IV and V classes. If you notify us of your absence at least 2 hours prior to your scheduled class, you may participate in a trail ride as a make-up. (All trail ride policies stand firm.)
We require that you schedule your trail ride make-up within (6) six weeks of your missed class (See Cancellation Policy.)
Cancellation Due to Injury
Students injured during a class will be given a refund for missed classes, including the class during which the injury occurred. The insurance fee will not be refunded.
Cancellation by the District
1. The Danada Equestrian Center reserves the right to cancel programs including trail rides, horsemanship programs and seminars upon inadequate enrollment or inclement weather. The Danada Equestrian Center staff reserves the right to assign horses to qualified, currently active volunteers and student participants in good standing for all trail rides, seminars and classes.
2. Program sessions canceled by the District will result in the choice of a full refund (minus any administration fee) or an opportunity to transfer to another session.
3. If a class is cancelled because of inclement weather, illness of instruction personnel or for any other reason, a make-up class may be offered. Refunds for classes missed will be given if a make-up class is not scheduled.
Make-Up Policy
1. Make-up classes will be scheduled for students who notify the equestrian center at (630) 668-6012 prior to absence. Only two make-up classes are allowed during each six-week program. All Horsemanship III and higher classes will receive only trail rides for make-ups; no refunds or make-up will be available unless the District cancels the lesson.
2. Make-up classes are by appointment only. Make-up classes will only be conducted during regularly scheduled classes when openings are available or during a special scheduled make-up class. |
