Public Hayrides and Sleigh Rides

Group Hayrides & Sleigh Rides | Calendar

The Danada Equestrian Center offers horse-drawn hayrides through the Danada Forest Preserve. Come and relax and enjoy a 3O-minute, horse-drawn hayride through the fields and woodlands while the teamster relates information about the unique features and history of this preserve.

Passengers are encouraged to dress for the weather and bring insect repellent. Horse-drawn hayride passengers load at the main stable. Ride tickets are required. (See ticket information below.) In the event of severe weather such as heavy rain or electrical storms, rides will be canceled.

Horse-drawn sleigh rides are offered during January and February, weather permitting. (Wagons will be used if there are fewer than 6 inches of snow.) Sleigh rides are 12 - 15 minutes in length.

Horse-drawn sleigh ride passengers load at the warming fire site located at the northeast comer of the stable. Ride tickets are required. (See ticket information below.) In the event of severe weather such as heavy rain, blizzard, or thermometer or windchill temperatures below zero degrees Fahrenheit, rides will be canceled.

Ticket Information: Ride tickets are available from the main stable 30 minutes before the first ride of the day on a first-come, first-served basis. Please refer to Events Calendar for dates and times.

Groups larger than 15 are encouraged to reserve a Group Time. Call the Danada Equestrian Center at (630) 668-6012 for more information.
