Bureau of Land Management's National Wild Horse and Burro Web page

The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is responsible for managing the nation's public lands. The wild horses and burros on the public rangelands are managed consistent with BLM's multiple use mission which takes into consideration natural resources such as wildlife and vegetation and other users such as livestock & recreationists.

Denstar Farms

Robert Denlinger runs Denstar farms in Kentucky, gentling and training wild American Mustang horses from the Bureau of Land Management, raising sheep, and growing food crops. The farm uses Percheron draft horses for farm labor, and livestock guardian dogs to protect the sheep and horses from predators.
